New Zealand's flu vaccine supplies could be jeopardised by ongoing flight disruptions in Europe caused by Iceland's volcanic eruption.
The Ministry of Health said today that the country's seasonal flu vaccines were produced in Paris, France, and supplies could be interrupted during the next week or so.
More than 750,000 vaccines had been taken this season already in preparation for winter, well ahead of numbers last year, a Ministry statement said.
