Air New Zealand customers can automatically transfer bookings to a later flight or hold on to credit for 12 months, the airline says.
A number of customers have been diverted or affected by flight delays today at Queenstown, Invercargill and Dunedin airports.
A large number of flights have been cancelled at Queenstown Airport in particular, where cross-winds continue to affect flight schedules.
A Queenstown Airport spokeswoman was unsure when flights would resume.
Both Jetstar and Air New Zealand flights have been affected, with the Highlanders' scheduled flight from Dunedin to Christchurch at 5.30pm among the weather-related cancellations.
