Masterton's Fleur Hardman is the winner of the Wairarapa Road Safety Council's quiz, earning $1000 in prizes.
The quiz was run over International Road Safety Week, from May 4-8.
The prize includes a $250 automotive workshop voucher - a blessing for Ms Hardman, who said her car needed repairs.
She said she was "thrilled".
Road safety council manager Bruce Pauling said the quiz, published in the Times-Age and another paper, was about engaging people with road safety topics, and directing participants to road safety sites such as the NZ Road Code and www.rightcar.
