A busy shopping evening at Pak'n Save Masterton on Tuesday was brightened by a flash mob of choristers singing Christmas carols.
Around 30 members of the Wairarapa Singers mingled with unsuspecting shoppers before gradually congregating near the tills to break into song.
Shoppers appeared delighted, and a logjam of spectators ensued as cameras came out to capture the scene.
The singing lasted an hour, as Pak'n Save staff manoeuvred the singers to keep the route to the tills clear.
