Five of the eight teams contesting Netball Wairarapa's premier one competition will go into the final round of qualifying games at the Colombo Road courts this Saturday with the semifinals still within reach.
Already through to the top four are defending champions Harcourts, who have the maximum 18 points, and Carterton New World Legends, who are sitting on 15.
But for Wairarapa College and Makoura College, who are both on 13, and Carterton New World Lynx, who have 11, it's all on for young and old, while Pioneer Blue (9), St Matthew's Collegiate (3) and Baywide Gladstone (0) are out of the reckoning.
What all of this means is that two of the four matches scheduled for the last of the qualifying games will have a big bearing on semifinal aspirations.
Wairarapa College A have the biggest mountain to climb as they are drawn to play Harcourts. Elsewhere, Carterton New World Lynx will be desperately seeking a win over Makoura College.
