Five people have been injured following a two-car crash near Timaru.
Police were called to the incident just before 11am when two cars crashed in Geraldine Flat, near Coach Rd and McKenzie Rd.
A St John spokeswoman said three ambulances were at the scene and five patients were being transported to Timaru Hospital, two in a moderate condition and three with minor injuries.
A Police spokesperson said tow trucks were required for each of the two vehicles involved and one lane is blocked but traffic was reported to be flowing.
