Five Auckland prison inmates appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of fellow inmate, Tue Faavae, at Paremoremo prison.
The men, who were given interim name suppression, were remanded in custody to reappear in the North Shore District Court on April 20.
A sixth man, who also has interim name suppression, faced a charge of being an accessory after the fact to murder.
The charge follows the death of Samoa-born Faavae, 23, whose body was found on March 1.
