Aucklanders have been hooked by a Coastguard funding drive to catch fish for charity.
Those who went fishing on Saturday were encouraged to donate part of their catch so it could be sold at auction yesterday.
Yesterday's auction at Silo Park Produce Market went off without a hitch, with a Coastguard spokesperson saying they were "very happy" with the money raised.
The final numbers of fish sold and money raised hasn't been calculated yet.
Coastguard volunteers rescued 3997 boaties last year.
