About 250 children were treated to a day of fun, hands-on activities as part of Wairarapa's first Kidz Conference yesterday.
Children in Years 4-6 were selected from schools around the district to attend the conference, which was based at the Copthorne Hotel.
The conference aimed to encourage students to make an impact within their community and beyond, with children choosing from a number of workshops such as meeting a Pukaha ranger, farm visits and IT workshops.
