Police are calling for witnesses after the first road fatality of a rainy Labour Weekend.
A 21-year-old Puketutu man crashed his motorbike this morning at the Hutchinson Road and Morrinsville-Walton Road intersections at about 6am and has died from his injuries.
There were no other vehicles involved and police inspector Ian Brooker said police were called to the crash scene by ambulance staff.
