Emergency services continue to be busy with fireworks-related call-outs tonight, despite Guy Fawkes night being yesterday.
Up to 20 small fires around the North Island have been attended to by fire crews throughout tonight.
Northern fire communications shift manager Steve Smith said although none of those had been a significantly big blaze, crews were having a busy night.
He said crews had attended a house fire in Mahurangi, north of Auckland, but was unsure if fireworks may have been involved. Fire investigators were now there. No one was injured.
"All the rest are Guy Fawkes-related incidents but there's nothing major,'' Mr Smith said.
