Around 50 firefighters battled this huge blaze last night in a workshop near Rotorua.
The fire started just before 6pm at the Microsilica New Zealand quarry in Te Puea Rd, Tikitere, and took several hours to put out.
The workshop, which measured around 50m by 50m and contained industrial equipment, was destroyed.
Nobody was injured. A Northern Fire Communications spokesman said the cause of the fire was unknown but fire safety officers were investigating.
