Firefighters have extinguished a blaze at a home in Auckland.
Fire Service northern communications shift manager Colin Underdown said the Glen Innes house was well involved when firefighters arrived about 4.30pm (Thur).
All those who lived at the house had been accounted for.
Mr Underdown said the blaze had been contained and firefighters were waiting at the scene to hear from Housing New Zealand, which owns the house.
It was earlier reported that police had been called to the Melling St address after firefighters were confronted with a hostile crowd.
