KEY POINTS:
Firefighters were kept busy this morning tackling two blazes at commercial premises in central Auckland.
A fire in a pizza oven on the ground floor of SkyCity at 3am caused the evacuation of the tower.
Sprinklers put the fire out and fire crews who attended the scene gave the all clear for people to return to the tower a short time later.
A short circuit in a lift at the Copthorne Hotel, near The Viaduct, also caused the evacuation of the building this morning.
Firefighters put out the blaze by 7am and guests and staff were able to return to the hotel.
