A fire broke out late last night at the back of a school in south Auckland.
The fire, at a pergola at the back of Te Matauranga School on Finlayson Ave, Clendon, started just before 10.50pm, Daniel Nicholson, from the Fire Service northern communications centre, said.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze by midnight and have left the scene.
There were no reports of injuries, or of anybody being inside the structure, he said.
