The Fire Service is looking into the cause of a large blaze at a church in Auckland.
Firefighters were called out to Ellerslie's Christian City Church on Cawley St about 1.40pm today.
There was nobody in the building at the time, and there were no injuries.
A total of 12
fire crews were called in to bring it under control, fire service northern communications shift manager Paul Radden told NZPA.
The fire, which began on the building's second floor, was extinguished within an hour.
It is too early to say what caused the blaze, but fire safety officers are working to establish how it began.
