Firefighter hurt in south Auckland blaze

A fire fighter is injured after battling a blaze south of Auckland.

The Fire Service was called to a large house fire in Linwood Road in Karaka just after 11am this morning.

Communications shift manager Belinda Leary says 10 firefighters were at the scene.

She says one firefighter has minor injuries and is being given first aid.

Ms Leary says no-one was in the house at the time of the fire and there were no injuries to members of the public.
