Firefighter burned in Wainuiomata

Save A firefighter suffered minor burns while battling a housefire in Wainuiomata this afternoon.
Fire Service shift manager David Meikle said the firefighter was taken to hospital, but the injuries are not serious.
The housefire on Bull Ave started before 1.30pm today. The building was well alight when firefighters arrived, but
the blaze is now under control.
Nobody was trapped in the building, he said.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
