Police have concerns over the theft of 10 high-powered firearms from a south Taranaki farm.
The guns were stolen from a rural property on the eastern side of the Pohokura Saddle some time on Sunday.
Police said the firearms had been securely stored in an arms safe which the offenders managed to lever open.
The thieves also stole a car which they abandoned down the road at Te Wera Camp Track.
Police were seeking information about suspicious people or vehicles in the area on New Year's Day.
