Five firearms have been stolen during a spate of burglaries and car break-ins in Queenstown this week.
Police are appealing to the public for information relating to the thefts from vehicles and burglaries in the Kelvin Heights and Fernhill areas recently.
On Sunday night and early Monday a total of 14 vehicles, parked both on the street and on private addresses, were broken into and a small amount of personal property was taken.
Three burglaries took place, all while people were at home.
In one case a garage was entered and five firearms were forcibly removed from a locked safe. A small amount of ammunition was also taken.
