Fire 'totally destroys' Napier home

A Napier house was completely gutted by fire overnight but it is not thought anyone was home when it happened.

The Fire Service was called to the Faraday Street, Napier home about 1.30 this morning , Central Fire Communications shift manager Murray Dunbar told NZPA.

The fire "totally destroyed" the home, he said.

Fire Safety are investigating the blaze.
