Save The Fire Service has reported a relatively calm Guy Fawkes night with no major fires nationwide.
There was "nothing worth mentioning" for the top half of the North Island, a northern fire communications spokeswoman said.
Central fire crews attended 22 small blazes related to fireworks - mostly bush and rubbish
fires, shift manager Tim Rees said.
"But it was mostly business as usual."
Southern fire crews looked after 28 fireworks-related blazes, but none were serious, a spokesman said.
