Two people, including a child, have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire ripped through a Christchurch home this morning.
Fire services were called to the Aranui property about 9am where the house was engulfed in fire, a fire services spokesman said.
A child and a woman were treated by ambulance for smoke inhalation, but there was no other reported injuries.
Fire services had put the blaze out by midday.
