Police and fire investigators are still looking for the cause of a Christchurch blaze which claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy.
Corey James McLean died in the Medina Crescent house yesterday, after apparently getting trapped when he went back inside to help a friend.
Seven other people who were at the property were treated for smoke inhalation.
A woman and her three teenage children lived in the house, along with foster children and others with nowhere to stay.
Emergency services are reminding people to have an escape plan, saying fire moves incredibly fast.
