One person has been treated by paramedics after a house fire in Paihia this morning.
The Fire Service says the home on McMurray Road was well involved when they arrived at the scene around six o'clock.
One occupant was found unconscious outside the house.
St John Ambulance says the patient had moderate injuries but did not need to go to hospital.
Fire Safety Officers have been called in to investigate the cause.
