A fire that engulfed an Auckland home this evening has now been extinguished.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 10pm to a property on Rautawhiri Rd in Helensville where a house was in flames.
Images taken by onlookers showed billowing smoke and bright flames engulfing the property.
Northern
fire communications shift manager Paul Radden said the fire was "well involved in the building" when the fire service arrived.
He said no one was injured and the fire had now been extinguished.
