Firefighters wore protective suits to tackle a chemical spill in south Auckland this morning.
Three fire crews, three support vehicles and a hazardous substance unit, went to business premises in Heritage Way, Flat Bush, just after 11am today.
They plugged a leak from where 20 litres of sulphuric acid had spilled, Paul Radden, northern fire communications shift manager, told NZPA.
Fire crews had now left the scene.
