Three houses are no longer under threat from a spreading gorse fire in Mangatangi, Waikato.
Fire communications reported on Twitter at 1.20pm the fire had been contained and was no longer threatening homes.
They said a fire was also threatening houses in Settlement Rd, Puni. A burn-off of felled trees got out of control and was threatening houses and hedges.
Around 1.55pm, communications said it had also been contained, and was no longer posing any threat to property.
