Fire services are battling a blaze at a central Wellington restaurant.
Five fire trucks were attending the fire at El Matador on Cuba Street, a fire spokesman said.
The fire was in the extractor flue of the restaurant.
Fire crews were called to the restaurant at 4.25pm.
It was not known whether anyone was in the restaurant at the time, nor whether anyone was injured.
