Fire crews battle blaze in Pirongia

Fire crews are fighting a blaze at a house in Pirongia, near Hamilton.

The fire started in the roof of the house. Fire crews from Pirongia and Te Awamutu responded to the call just after 8am today, northern fire communications shift manager Scott Osmond said.

They were alerted by the occupants of the house, who managed to get out before they arrived.
