Users of Henley Lake this Saturday will need to obey safety marshals as the Wairarapa Rural Fire District hold their training day.
About 40 Rural Fire Fighters made up from the Wairarapa Rural Fire Districts volunteer crews at Castlepoint, Tinui, Mauriceville, Wainuioru, Tora, Lake Ferry and Ngawi as well as JNL forestry crews will be practising their skills. The training will include fire pump operation, working with and filling helicopter monsoon buckets, and helicopter operations.
Users of the lake and walking tracks may be asked to wait briefly for their own safety while the helicopters come and go.
