Fire crew called to car crash

A Masterton fire crew was stood down after fielding a call to a single vehicle crash near the town on Saturday afternoon.

Masterton firefighters were called to the scene of a car crash on Saturday.

The crash involved a single vehicle that had ploughed into a roadside fence on the Blairlogie-Langdale Rd about 5.20pm on Saturday.

The fire crew was stood down and police and ambulance officers also had been called to the scene of the crash, fire communication supervisor Murray Dunbar said.

It is uncertain if anyone was injured.
