Police and a fire investigator are on their way to a suspicious fire at Riverhills Primary School in East Auckland this afternoon.
Northern Fire Communications' shift manager Dallas Ramsaysaid they were alerted to a fire in the roof of the Pakuranga Heights' school's boiler room and caretaker's shed just before 5pm.
The building is 16sq m in size and the incident is being described as a small property fire, Ramsay said.
The fire was considered suspicious and police had been called. A fire investigator is also on the way to the school, which is on Waikaremoana Pl.
One crew each from Howick and Mt Wellington Fire Brigades are at the scene.
