Twelve fire trucks were sent to Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland this afternoon after a fire broke out in an air conditioning unit.
Fire Services were called to the blaze, on the second storey of the four storey Centennial Building, just after midday.
People were in the building at the time of the fire, but they were all safely evacuated, Northern Fire communications senior communicator Nicole Bernard said.
At its height, 12 fire trucks were attending the fire at the private Epsom school.
The fire had been located in the air conditioning unit on level two and had since been put out, said Ms Bernard.
