A coffee shop at the end of Auckland's Devonport Ferry Terminal has gone up in flames this morning, briefly disrupting services.
A ferry approaching the wharf was told to stand off as fire fighters struggled to get hoses to the blaze.
Dense smoke filled the building and witness Hayden O'Neill said it was hard to figure out what was going on in the darkness.
"The owner was out the front with her business partner, and they were very upset about what was going on, they were crying," he said.
Mr O'Neill said it was horrifically smoky.
