KEY POINTS:
An Invercargill man who sped to Mt Cook for the birth of his child was convicted in the Alexandra District Court yesterday for driving over 100km/h. Gorden Charles Goodall, 44, was fined $200. He had been found guilty at a defended hearing.
The court heard Goodall was stopped by police in the Lindis Valley last October 18 after driving at 130km/h. It was his fourth speeding conviction in less than a year.
