"But overall ... (there will be) good conditions in those areas that have been badly affected (by rain) to allow them to dry out a little bit for at least a couple of days."
Auckland and Northland would reach slightly higher temperatures than was normal for this time of year, Mr Downs said.
However, the clear skies and slightly humid conditions could bring fog or low cloud, he said.
