Wairarapa-Bush rugby will celebrate those who have given huge service to the sport at finals day at Memorial Park, Masterton, on Saturday.
Life members of all clubs and the Wairarapa-Bush Rugby Football Union will take part in festivities planned to start about 11am and which will culminate with a parade just before the kick-off of the Tui Cup premier division final between Greytown and Eketahuna.
Wairarapa-Bush union chief executive Tony Hargood expects most of the region's 110 life members to attend and wants to make "life members' day" a regular feature of the finals promotion.
"These are people who have made club rugby what it is today, they deserve to be recognised and honoured," Hargood said.
