A company of about 50 Kuranui College students are putting the final few touches on the latest annual school production, South Pacific.
Kuranui College drama teacher Juanita McLellan said the students had been rehearsing since the end of term one - given the number of students involved and their otherwise busy school schedule - and had been responsible for most facets of the musical including costumes and sets.
"We chose South Pacific because the students themselves decided they liked some of the songs and there are some good singers in the cast."
The company will hold their final full dress rehearsal on Monday, Ms McLellan said, and the season will run through a matinee on Tuesday and Wednesday and evening shows at the school from 7.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Ms McLeallan said primary school pupils in South Wairarapa and Carterton had been invited to the matinee shows along with some elder care centre residents.
