All remaining tickets to the Lions series provincial matches and the New Zealand Maori game went on sale this morning, following the final offers to people in the ticket ballot and the rugby community.
All people in the ballot and members of the local rugby community in each province have had one last opportunity to buy tickets over the last few days before public sales opened this morning via provincial union ticketing agencies.
New Zealand Rugby Union Deputy Chief Executive Steve Tew said a further 11,500 tickets had been sold in the final ballot offer, leaving around 46,000 for public sale.
"With the ballot process completed, there is now the chance for other members of the public to buy a ticket to one of the Lions matches and support their provincial team," he said.
A range of ticket prices is available with prices starting at $10 for a child and $35 for an adult for the Bay of Plenty and Southland matches and $20 for a child and $35 for an adult for the Otago match.
Mr Tew said just 800 tickets remained for the Wellington v Lions match at Westpac Stadium on June 15 while 1400 were left for the Auckland v Lions game at Eden Park on July 5. Around 12,400 tickets were still available for the Otago v Lions match at Carisbrook.
