KEY POINTS:
The Government has easily won the last two confidence votes before the election.
In Parliament last night the Appropriation (2008/09 Estimates) Bill and the Imprest Supply (Second for 2008/09) Bill were enacted on votes of 61 to 48.
The bills are Budget legislation and were supported by Labour, New Zealand First, United Future, the Progressive Party and independent MPs Gordon Copeland and Taito Phillip Field.
National was the only party voting against the bills.
The two Act MPs were not in the debating chamber.
The Greens and the Maori Party abstained, as they always have on confidence votes.
