The final alignment for Auckland's Western Ring Route motorway has been unveiled.
It will see 160 fewer houses demolished than originally thought. However that includes 27 homes previously untouched.
205 houses will be bulldozed to make way for the new road, instead of the original 365.
The New Zealand Transport Agency says it already owns 140 of them.
