Located between two long white sand beaches, Vomo Island Resort is a 15-minute helicopter or seaplane ride from Nadi, Fiji.
With 90ha of surroundings, the resort is ideally positioned as a corporate retreat or incentive destination, says the general sales agent in Auckland, June Gordon-Dill.
Its 30 air-conditioned villas are either adjacent to the beach or on the hillside overlooking the resort's "magnificent tropical gardens and the turquoise-blue ocean beyond."
Each natural-timber villa has its own lanai deck area, separate bedroom and living areas, and spa bath and shower.
Amenities, June Gordon-Dill says, are of the highest international standard: there is an in-room safe, ISD telephone, tea and coffee-making facilities, and hair drier.
"With in-villa dining, 24-hour guest service, fresh fruit supplied daily, and complimentary laundry and pressing, guests are pampered in style."
Inclusive Vomo Island Resort packages include all meals and resort facilities. For something different the resort will arrange meals at different places - for example, an incentive or conference group may choose to dine at the golf course, the beach or have lunch at The Royal Villa.
The Chiefly Bure is available to conference groups at no extra cost.
Theme nights, such as a Welcome to Paradise night, are offered. This includes cocktails around the pool, dancing girls, a fashion parade, DJ music and the Vomo Island Serenaders. Other themes are: Fireworks at the Rocks, with DJ music, a tropical seafood buffet and a fireworks display set at the Rock Restaurant overlooking the beach; Captain Cook Night, where guests are ambushed by warriors; Gala Night; Fijian Night; or Night Under the Stars.
Inclusive activities include a nine-hole golf course, snorkelling, a fresh-water swimming pool, mountain hiking, surf skiing, windsurfing, hobie sailing and tennis. There is a health spa with massage, facials and body wraps. Scuba diving or deep-sea fishing can be arranged at extra cost.
