Fiji's coup is costing more than $1 million a day in lost tourism earnings, says the Fiji Visitors Bureau.
Chief executive Sitiveni Yaqona said that in the first two weeks of June, just 6831 visitors had arrived, compared with 38,455 for all of June 1999.
This represented a loss for the fortnight of more than $20 million.
Meanwhile, talks resumed yesterday between coup leader George Speight and military commander Commodore Frank Bainimarama.
