Police have arrested 15 people in the lower North Island as part of a national campaign against the production and distribution of methamphetamine, or P.
Eighteen search warrants were carried out at properties in New Plymouth, rural Taranaki, Wanganui and Manawatu.
Those arrested have been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of LSD, cultivating cannabis, possession of cannabis for supply, possession of cannabis and cannabis oil, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
Today's arrests are part a national police drive to raise awareness and to hold to account those responsible for the methamphetamine manufacture and supply.
Another two people have been recalled to prison for breaching their parole conditions.
"We will continue knocking on doors until the message hits home. The community should do the right thing and report suspicious activity to us," Detective Inspector Chris Bensemann said.
New Zealand is recognised internationally as having one of the highest amphetamine type substance user rates per capita in the world.
Police expect further arrests.
