KEY POINTS:
Labour MP Taito Phillip Field will now talk to police as part of their corruption investigation.
The suspended Mangere MP, frustrated at the pace of the police investigation into allegations he benefited from his dealings with Asian immigrants and other constituents, earlier said he had decided on legal advice not to be interviewed by police.
However, his lawyer Satiu Simativa Perese today said that following a request from police Mr Field would now talk to them.
No date or time had yet been set down but the interview would take place in the next fortnight.
Mr Field is on long-term leave from Parliament while police carry out their investigation. He denies any wrongdoing.
