Detectives have requested an interview with the Mangere MP as their investigation into allegations that he accepted cheap labour in return for giving immigration assistance nears an end.
Mr Field's lawyer, Simativa Perese, had planned to discuss the interview request with his client yesterday but said the MP was "pretty unwell".
