KEY POINTS:
Court of Appeal judges are mulling over whether Taito Phillip Field can appeal against a High Court decision to allow police to lay charges against him.
The judges reserved their decision yesterday after Mr Field's lawyer Simativa Perese and Solicitor-General David Collins, acting for the Crown, argued whether the appeal could be allowed or not.
If Justices William Young, Ellen France and Robert Chambers decide the decision to allow police to go ahead comes under criminal law, Mr Field cannot appeal.
However, if it is considered civil he would be able to. Police last month successfully applied to the High Court to lay bribery and corruption charges against Mr Field.
