The former fiance of Tina Marshall, whose body was snatched from a funeral home, has appeared in court charged with her manslaughter.
Twenty-nine year old Daryl Cox faced one charge of manslaughter, two counts of producing the drug morphine and two counts of theft when he appeared in Masterton District Court this afternoon.
A second man, Kerry Robert Lester, 33, appeared in court on drug charges relating to the death.
Both men were remanded on bail until May 6.
Ms Marshall died of a suspected drugs overdose in December. The mother of two children was 25.
Her body was taken from Harbour City Funeral Home in Lower Hutt in December, by her father and against the wishes of her maternal family.
She was buried on ancestral land near Ruatoria on the East Coast, but her body was later exhumed and cremated and her ashes returned to her maternal family.
