A man has been taken to hospital after a collision between a ferry and a water taxi near Princes Wharf at Auckland's waterfront.
The boat and the 14 metre long West Harbour ferry Serenity, run by Belaire Ferries, collided as they were coming in to berth in the city just before 8:30am.
The skipper of the water taxi received minor injuries and has been taken to Auckland Hospital.
Belaire's managing director Adam Tallentire says the Serenity is damaged but still floating.
He says the skipper is unhurt but shaken and the 40 or so passengers are safe.
The ferry will be taken to the company's yard as soon as possible for repair.
